A PINCH OF EYELASH EXTENSION HISTORY
The current trend for the Classic individual eyelash extensions started in Japan in the early millennium and became popular all over the world around 2004, and later in 2011 Volume lashes began in St. Petersburg, Russia by a lash stylist named Olga Debronravova.
Kim Kardashian`s lashes inspired lash artists to make lash extensions look more natural. This is when the Hybrid lash extension style was invented (also called Wispy Lashes , Kim K Lashes, Wet - Look lashes). Hybrid lash extensions is a combination of the two previously mentioned techniques. The voluminous look is broken up by adding a few single lash extensions which are longer than the volume base, giving a more textured and spiky look.
THE ORIGIN OF SEAMLESS LASH
Although Classic, Hybrid and Wet look styles tried to mimic the natural lash look, they are still quite heavy, leaving my clients and I wanting more – a natural look that's still defined, more fluffiness without drama, more SEAMLESS... Now they are the only requested eyelash extensions from all my clients.
With my Seamless technique, different looks can be achieved, from complementing the natural lashes for those who are tired of applying mascara every morning, to more full, fluffy styles for those who love the voluminous look. The unique method of application means that the seamless extensions blend nicely with the natural lashes, so if a natural lash falls out it will not be noticeable. Russian volume lashes however, will leave large visible gaps between lashes when some fall out. Another benefit of Seamless lashes is that they are very lightweight and very comfortable on the eye.
LASH MISCONCEPTION
Many ladies can be misguided by social media trends, believing that the bigger, thicker and longer the lashes are, the bigger and more attractive their eyes will appear. Instead, the eyelids are covered by an opaque shelf that creates a shadow, subsequently making the eye look heavy and hooded. Light looking lashes visually make the eye bigger and brighter.
